Finacea 15% (Azelaic Acid)

Finacea 15% gel is a topical treatment for rosacea and milder forms of acne. It contains the active ingredient azelaic acid, which works to treat acne and rosacea in different ways. For acne, it works by killing the bacteria that has infected the pores of the skin by decreasing the amount of keratin that is produced. Keratin is a natural substance that is produced by the cells of the skin, too much of this can lead to acne. For rosacea, azelaic acid decreases the redness and swelling of the skin, thus helping to visible reduce the appearance and symptoms of Rosacea.
