The fresh mint scent is synthetic and makes up less than 1% of the formula, and the cooling sensation comes from menthyl lactate, a menthol derivative that invigorates the skin and the senses. With BHA (beta hydroxy acid aka salicylic acid) and LHA (lipohydroxy acid), it helps detoxify and minimize the look of pores and control surface oil.
