This cleansing balm is quite unique. It's not hydrophilic, so I had to use a wet cloth or cleansing gel to get rid of the oil film it leaves. But this oil film didn't feel greasy or occlusive to me (even though I have combination skin), so I often just let it sit on my skin and then applied my next skincare steps. It felt pleasant and helped me keep my skin hydrated, especially in winter. It's a good oil-based cleanser, but the film can be easily unpleasant for someone. I didn't try to remove makeup with this balm and used it only once per week in the evening for deeper cleansing. It contains fragrances, but mostly smelled like sunflower oil to me.
