Refining Face Wash

The Russell Organics Refining Face wash is a gel-cleanser, rich in botanical ingredients specially chosen for maximum effect. Rather than using synthetic surfactants and detergents, we have formulated this face wash to gently, yet effectively remove surface dirt with fruit extracts. It turns out that the traditional method for cleansing combination or oily skin types was through the use of chemicals that stripped the skin’s surface, or used harsh exfoliants that damaged the skin. When a detergent is used, it does strip the oil from the skin, but it also conditions the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum (oil) to replace what was stripped off. The cycle then causes the skin to become more oily. Fruit extracts gently dissolve the surface oil, and acting with our other botanical ingredients will help to balance the skin. Naturally. Organic Lemon, Organic Orange, Organic Apple, Organic Green Tea, and Willowbark Extracts work in harmony to gently cleanse, exfoliate, and balance the complexion. The Refining Face Wash contains Organic Grapefruit, Bisbolol, Organic Lemon, Organic Geranium, Palmarosa, Organic Ylang Ylang, Organic Patchouli, and Sandalwood Oils that help to nurture and refine the skin.
